Washington D.C., November 5, 2026 – The Embassy of Saint Kitts and Nevis in Washington, D.C., has welcomed the fruition of an initiative it helped nurture and advance through the Ministry of Trade and Economic Investment, bringing a 15-member delegation of veteran business owners and prospective investors from the United States to the Federation.
The trade mission is exploring investment and partnership opportunities in Saint Kitts and Nevis, connecting American entrepreneurial experience with the Federation’s development priorities, local enterprise and opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation on both sister islands.
The visit grew from an initial expression of interest brought to the Embassy in Washington. Through sustained engagement, the Embassy brought relevant ministries and their respective agencies into the discussions and helped advance the proposal towards a coordinated programme in the Federation. The programme of engagement with agencies and stakeholders spanning the public and private sectors runs from November 2 to 6, 2026.

Her Excellency Jacinth Henry-Martin, Ambassador of Saint Kitts and Nevis to the United States, expressed particular satisfaction at seeing those efforts take shape.
“This visit represents the kind of practical outcome we seek through our diplomatic engagement: opening doors, connecting people and turning goodwill into opportunity,” Ambassador Henry-Martin said. “We welcomed the initial idea, nurtured it through dialogue and worked with our partners at home to bring it to fruition. It is deeply gratifying to see these women of experience, discipline and entrepreneurial vision here in our Federation, exploring how we can build and prosper together.”
The mission offers scope to explore cooperation in areas aligned with the Federation’s Sustainable Island State Agenda, including renewable energy, agriculture and agro-processing, sustainable tourism, the digital and creative economies, resilient infrastructure, and health and wellness. Particular emphasis is placed on partnerships that support local businesses, develop skills, create quality employment and deliver lasting benefits to communities.

Ambassador Henry-Martin extended sincere appreciation to the members of the visiting mission and its planning team for their vision, commitment and confidence in Saint Kitts and Nevis. She recognised the leadership and coordination of Permanent Secretary Adina Richards and the Ministry’s team, together with the contributions of the St. Kitts Investment Promotion Agency (SKIPA) and the Nevis Investment Promotion Agency (NIPA), and the efforts of the Embassy’s Adelcia Connor Ferlance, First Secretary.
The Embassy also thanked the participating government ministries and agencies, private sector representatives, business owners and other contributors across the Federation whose cooperation and hospitality are helping to make the visit substantive and welcoming.
“Our appreciation extends to everyone who has helped carry this initiative forward,” the Ambassador added. “The promise of this mission lies in the relationships we build and the care with which we develop them. We hope that the conversations begun here will mature into sound investments, enduring partnerships and shared success for our visitors and our people.”
The Embassy looks forward to supporting continued engagement as the mission identifies opportunities and develops connections across both islands.
