The Embassy of Saint Kitts and Nevis in Washington, D.C., and Consulate General in New York Extend Condolences on the Passing of Dr. Stewart O. Williams 

Washington, D.C., June 29, 2026 – The Embassy of Saint Kitts and Nevis in Washington, D.C., together with the Consulate General in New York, expresses its profound sorrow at the passing of Dr. Stewart O. Williams, who departed this earthly life on June 26, 2026, at the age of 65. 

Dr. Williams lived a life distinguished by service, generosity, and intellectual excellence. A highly respected chemist and devoted philanthropist, his contributions spanned youth mentorship, education, and community development, most notably through his visionary leadership of the Sandy Point Benevolent Society (SPBS), an organization he founded and stewarded with unwavering dedication. 

Dr. Williams was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, as well as a faithful member of Lansdale United Methodist Church. His kindness, wisdom, and steadfast commitment to uplifting others touched countless lives across Saint Kitts and Nevis and throughout the diaspora, leaving an enduring legacy of compassion and service. 

On behalf of the Government and people of Saint Kitts and Nevis, the Embassy and Consulate General extend profound condolences to his beloved wife, Mrs. Vernice Williams, his daughters, Sherise Koelsch, Lauren Nall, and Allison Williams, his cherished grandchildren, Eliza Nall and Reid Koelsch, his brother, Lorenza Williams, and the extended family. Dr. Williams was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Patrick Williams.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Lansdale United Methodist Church, 300 N. Broad Street, Lansdale, Pennsylvania. A viewing will precede the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place privately on date to be decided at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Sandy Point Benevolent Society (SPBS), reflecting Dr. Williams’ lifelong commitment to philanthropy and the advancement of his community. 

The Federation mourns the loss of a distinguished son of the soil whose exemplary life, selfless service, and abiding compassion have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his legacy continue to inspire generations to come.
