Land Ownership

Foreign persons wishing to own land in St Kitts can do so by:

Freehold: The average price of Government land is US$1.50/sq. ft. (Commercial), and US$1.11/sq. ft. (Residential).
Lease: Land at the Industrial Site can be leased from the Development Bank of St. Kitts & Nevis at US$444.00/acre annually.
Long-term-Lease: The tenure period is 35years and rent is reviewed every five years.

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)

St. Kitts experienced consistent growth in inflows of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the periods prior to COVID-19, spurred by the Citizenship by Investment Programme. 

Notwithstanding the economic fallout of COVID-19, the prospect for continued growth in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) remains optimistic, post the global pandemic. The strong growth in the inflows of FDI is dominated by investment in high-end real estate; condominiums, villas and hotels. Currently, there are in excess of US$100 million dollars in new projects in the investment pipeline that are expected to become operational in the near-term.
