THE EMBASSY OF SAINT KITTS AND NEVIS WELCOMES VISITORS FOR PASSPORT DC 2025

WASHINGTON, DC (May 5, 2025) — On Saturday, May 3, the Embassy of Saint Kitts and Nevis proudly participated in the Passport DC “Around the World Embassy Tour”, joining more than 60 embassies in opening its doors to the public for a day of cultural celebration and exchange. The event provided an engaging opportunity to showcase the vibrant history, culture, and heritage of the twin-island Federation.

Passport DC, a month-long celebration running from May 1–31, features cultural activities across Washington, DC, including embassy open houses, street festivals, performances, museum exhibitions, and special receptions, highlighting the city’s diverse international community.

Upon arrival, visitors to the Embassy of Saint Kitts and Nevis received a souvenir “passport” stamped at entry, symbolizing the start of an immersive journey into the heart of Kittitian and Nevisian culture.

“It was a pleasure to host another Passport DC and to welcome so many visitors eager to learn about the rich culture and heritage of our twin-island Federation. We deeply appreciate the interest and support shown for St. Kitts and Nevis, and we look forward to continuing to share our unique story with the world.” Ambassador Jacinth Henry-Martin expressed.

This year marked over a decade of continuous participation by the Embassy in Passport DC. Guests enjoyed a lively cultural showcase featuring traditional crafts and locally made products, authentic national cuisine, an interactive masquerade performance, engaging games, prizes, and a selection of local vendors representing the spirit and creativity of the twin-island Federation.
